Research
The research at the department is wide spanning and versatile. It covers all computer sciences (Computer Science, Information Systems and Computing) as well as microelectronics and data communication systems. The research reaches from technology platforms (Microelectronic Production Technologies) and software and hardware development technologies (Software Development, Embedded and Digital Systems) to special methods required by different application fields of both the applied engineering and natural sciences (especially the algorithmic solutions in e.g. bio- and medical scientific, image processing and production optimization problems) and the applied human sciences (e.g. usability of systems and informatics, production of digital content and itelligent data communication systems). Interfaces are given special concern, highlighting application based development of technology.
The department organization is based of areas or responsibility. Research is conducted in TUCS laboratories and centres, of which you can find information from the TUCS research pages. Research results are shown in conferences around the world and they are regulary published in international publication series of high esteem.
